Mike has been an active member of the Raleigh Astronomy Club since 2006, observing the night sky since 2003 but his interest in space was sparked as a child watching the first Space Shuttle launch.

Robin Simonton is the executive director of Historic Oakwood Cemetery and has been since November 2011. She haas written two books about the cemetery with historian Bruce Miller.
